The first major update to the Ghost system, integrating months of feedback from some of the top pilots in the FPV world.
New Features:
- Race250 mode, with a lower full-system latency than any other commercial system
- PureRace rate increased from 222Hz to 250Hz (unidirectional, no telemetry, using LoRa)
- Add integrated team-race support (up to 16 receivers, full vTx control)
- Add joystick lock
Bug Fixes:
- Improve connection success when Tx is close to a sensitive Rx
- Decrease connection time when a RF mode search is required
- Fix PWM issue with CH2 by disabling Tramp control in PWM mode
- Fix issue with vTx power settings if set from the popup menu instead of the dedicated vTx setup page
- Fix rare issue where the Rx connection is not stable if Rx is not restarted after bind
Recommended OpenTx Versions:
Option 1: Official v2.3.11, ‘unsynced build’, install with the OpenTx companion.
Option 2 (preferred): IRC build of v2.3.11 with full ‘mixer sync’ (much lower system latency). Download the firmware for all supported radios here.
Both of these builds fully support the GHST protocol, and responsive Ghost menus on the OpenTx LCD display.

Recommended Betaflight Build:
Option 1: Betaflight v4.2.6, public build. Use SRXL-2 protocol for the best performance (but without telemetry).
Option 2 (preferred): Latest development build of Betaflight v4.3. This includes the high performance GHST protocol, which in turn supports telemetry for RSSI %/RSSI dBM/LQ %, and main battery voltage, current, and mAh.
Install using the Betaflight configurator, Expert mode, Development release.
Ensure to also use the latest betaflight configurator build if the GHST protocol does not appear in the serial rx type dropdown.
UPDATE: While the latest development build is unstable, do not update betaflight past build #2425 (24-Mar-2021 22:33:14)
Updating, and Compatibility:
v1.0.2.0 remains compatible with all prior releases with respect to binding, and OTA firmware updates. It does however require that receivers are upgraded to v1.0.2.0 in order to ensure correct operation.
To update the Ghost Transmitter, use the following tools:
Ghost Updater MacOS Edition v1.5 (beta)
Ghost Updater Windows Edition v1.5
To upgrade receivers, rebind with the Bind+Setup option to both set the receiver protocol, and upgrade the Rx firmware.
Future binding may now be performed with the easier Bind option, which does not change Rx serial protocol, or any other Rx settings.
